Stop Fighting Your Furnace Layout
Let’s be honest: standard infrared lamps are great until they aren’t. If you’re working with a non-standard bending furnace or a layout that feels like it was designed to be as cramped as possible, off-the-shelf tubes are a nightmare. They’re either too long, the wrong shape, or they just flat-out won’t fit. It’s frustrating. You spend more time trying to “make it work” than actually producing glass. That’s why we just build them to fit your exact footprint. No guessing. No forcing.
Making it work in tight spots
When you’re annealing wine glasses, you need those temperature gradients to be spot on, or you’re looking at internal stress and broken glass. But when your furnace is tight, you can’t just jam a standard 500mm lamp in there and hope for the best. We look at your specific conveyor or jig setup and figure out the exact length and curve you need. We also tweak the wattage per centimeter. This means your glass hits that sweet spot for annealing without turning your furnace walls into a toaster.
The trick with heat density
Changing the length isn’t just about making it fit into the gap. It’s about where the power goes. A shorter tube with higher wattage lets you blast concentrated heat exactly where you need it. You can plug these right into your current controllers, but here’s a heads-up: pushing more power into a tiny space puts a lot of pressure on your cooling fans. If you go too heavy on the wattage in a confined area, you’ll likely burn out the lamp ends. We can help you find that balance so you don’t fry your equipment.
Just drop it in
We offer a bunch of different connector options so these are basically drop-in replacements. Need a specific bend radius for a curved zone? Or a precise length so the heater doesn’t bump into your transport system? Just send us your drawing. You get a heater that actually fits the space you have. It saves you from the absolute headache of having to redesign your entire furnace frame just to accommodate a piece of heating equipment.
