If you’re running a high-voltage setup, we tweak the filament length and diameter. It’s all about hitting that exact power density needed to reach the glass transition temperature.
The gear that handles the heat
We use high-purity quartz tubes because they can take the thermal shock of annealing cycles without cracking. Depending on what you’re doing, we can add coatings to the tube to shift the spectrum or bounce more heat back into the glass. But here’s a pro tip:**clean your reflectors.**Even the most expensive, precision-engineered lamp is useless if your reflectors are covered in grime.
